Garden 1 "A low maintenance garden"

This garden was designed using a 45 degree axis to increase the feeling of width. It has a slate patio adjacent to the house with two inter-locking squares of lawn that are raised from the patio. The terrace was required to level the garden and was built using sleepers. The decking area has been placed to take full advantage of the evening sun. The gravel area now accommodates the children's' trampoline and a small garden shed. Planting consists mainly of low maintenance evergreen shrubs and should reach a height of three feet in a year or two - filling the planters without creating too much work!
